Chaim Potok at La Sierra University
On May 4, 1997 Chaim Potok lectured to a packed auditorium at La Sierra University. His topic was "Unity, Diversity, Creativity: An American Writer's Journey." Following the lecture President Lawrence Geraty presented Potok with an honorary doctorate in humane letters--only the University's second honorary doctorate. Potok had previously lectured on campus in the early 1980's.
